Dr.Ashwin Kumar Mani is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Ashwin trained at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and then did his fellowship in the prestigious Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He has over 10 years of experience in clinical medicine. He has almost 1000 hours of remote ICU monitoring experience for multiple hospitals in the USA. He is an Intensivist at AICU Chennai Monitoring Center, which is the first remote monitoring center in the world for US hospitals located outside the USA.
He is actively involved in teaching and is an accredited teacher for the Diploma and Fellowship Programs in Critical Care accredited by Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and also for the Fellowship program of National Board of Examinations, India.
He is also an examiner for IDCCM. His interests include ARDS, noninvasive ventilation, pulmonary hypertension, infection control in the ICU , interstitial lung disease and smoking cessation . He has several original publications and has presented at many conferences in India and abroad.
He is currently the consultant in Charge of the Critical Care Unit at Apollo First Med Hospitals, Chennai.
